X-8635 Aromatic Spray (Pure) Polyurea Coating
High-Performance Elastomeric Protection by Iso & Polyol
X-8635 is a premium, 100% solids, aromatic pure polyurea elastomeric coating engineered for superior performance and durability. Formulated by Iso & Polyol, this system offers excellent leveling properties, exceptional substrate wetting, and outstanding adhesion. X-8635 cures rapidly into a tough, seamless membrane, providing remarkable resistance against wear, impact, and chemicals.
Achieving an optimal balance of physical properties, X-8635 boasts high tensile strength, impressive tear strength, and significant elongation at break. Its hard surface ensures excellent thermal stability. Designed for application with heated, dual-component spray equipment, X-8635 allows for fast, solvent-free installation.
Key Features & Benefits
Rapid Curing: Gel time of 20 seconds, surface dry in 60 seconds for quick return to service.
High Performance: Excellent wear, impact, and chemical resistance.
Superior Physical Properties: High tensile strength (16.5 MPa), tear strength (75 kN/m), and elongation (490%).
Excellent Adhesion: Bonds strongly to properly prepared substrates like primed concrete (2.5 MPa failure) and unprimed steel (10.2 MPa failure).
Versatile Application: Suitable for horizontal and vertical surfaces; can create textured, anti-slip finishes.
Wide Temperature Range: Performs reliably from -40°C to 120°C, with low-temperature flexibility down to -50°C.
Solvent-Free: 99% solids content, environmentally friendlier application.
Waterproof & Low Permeability: Water absorption <2% and low vapor permeability (2.2 Perms @ 1mm).
Primary Applications
X-8635 is the ideal solution for demanding protection scenarios, including:
Waterproofing: Concrete structures, roofs, tanks, reservoirs.
Corrosion Protection: Steel tanks, pipelines, structural steel.
Chemical Resistance: Secondary containment areas, chemical processing plants.
Abrasion & Impact Resistance: Mining equipment, truck bed liners, high-traffic floors.
Water Conservancy: Dams, canals, wastewater treatment facilities.
Substrate Compatibility: Widely used on primed steel, concrete, wood, fiberglass, and foam substrates.
Note: As an aromatic polyurea, X-8635 may experience color change with UV exposure. For applications requiring long-term color stability, the use of a compatible UV-resistant aliphatic topcoat is mandatory.

Application Guidelines
Mixing
Component B must be thoroughly homogenized using a paddle mixer for over 15 minutes until uniform before use.
Maintain uniformity during application using drum agitation or material circulation if needed.
Apply using a dedicated, heated, high-pressure plural-component polyurea spray machine.
Equipment Parameters
A/B Hose & Main Heater Temp: 60°C (140°F)
Equipment Pressure: 2000 PSI (13.8 MPa)
Application Conditions
Ambient Temperature: Avoid application below 4°C (40°F) or above 38°C (100°F).
Moisture: Do not apply if rain is expected within 30 minutes or if relative humidity exceeds 90%.
Substrate: Substrate should be dry for best results, although slight moisture tolerance exists.
Coverage & Thickness (DFT)
Theoretical Coverage: 1 kg of X-8635 covers approximately 1 m² at 1 mm thickness. (Actual coverage will be lower due to ~20% loss rate).
Dry Film Thickness (DFT): Determined by project requirements. Consult Iso & Polyol for specific engineering advice.
Light Wear (Dry/Immersion): 800–1000 µm (32-40 mils)
Moderate Wear (Dry/Immersion): 1000–1500 µm (40-60 mils)
Severe Wear (Dry/Immersion): 1500–3000+ µm (60-120+ mils)
Surface Preparation & Inspection
Ensure uniform spray application, free from voids, pinholes, or blisters.
Porous surfaces should be pre-filled using a suitable putty (e.g., UTS-2) or primer as recommended.
Inspect surfaces during application. Re-spray any non-compliant areas within 48 hours.
Packaging & Storage
Availability: X-8635 is a two-component material supplied in 19-liter pails or 209-liter drums.
209-Liter Drum Set:
Component A: 220 kg
Component B: 200 kg
Total Weight: 420 kg
Storage: Store in original, unopened containers in a cool, dry place. Components must be kept fully sealed to prevent moisture contamination.
